Marta Estevan is ready to leave the convent where she has been reared. Dona Luisa Artega, mother of Rafael and the young girl's guardian, arranges a marriage between the two, because she thinks that Marta's influence will rescue her son from the wild life he is leading and make a man of him. Marta rescues the American Bryton, when he is attacked by Indians, and falls in love with him.

The film traces the origins of the Chilean band band Los Prisioneros from the perspective of the drummer Miguel Tapia. Set in the Late 70's, during Pinochet's military dictatorship.

Commissioner Bartošek is visited by Dr. Goldberg, who reports the disappearance of his friend, the famous actor Benda. From the flimsy evidence, it appears that Benda left his apartment one night without taking anything with him and was taken away by car. He had not gone out for the entire week before, had not washed, had not shaved, and had drunk until he was debauched. The police search has reached a dead end. The actor Lebduška reveals to Goldberg that Benda had an affair with the actress Gréta, the wife of a prominent businessman, Bartošek's classmate Korbel. Goldberg eventually manages to exhume an unknown vagrant, whose body was found shortly after Benda's disappearance...

Ken D’Cruz was born in India and lives in Winnipeg. His main career goal in Canada was to be an actor but, his some-time agent advised him that there would be few parts for an actor with his skin colour. To make ends meet Ken took a temporary job as a baby photographer. The “temporary” job has been going on for twelve years. The film chronicles Ken’s picaresque daily adventures as a baby photographer while he continues to dream about being an actor.
